Basically, i was banned for "scouting a user that blatantly uploaded stolen songs". Well, im sorry for scouting them but i genuinely did not clue in that they had stolen the song. Lemme add a bit of context... I'm a newish user who only got scouted the day before the ban, and i was really excited so i thought "let's make someones day and scout them". So, i check a few servers and find someone who only has one track, a heavy metal cover. I thought, "well lets not be too hasty lets check him out." so i did, and idk if i missed something but he seemed ok to me. So i scouted him and i come back to find i'm unscouted and slapped with a 3 month ban. I'm distraught by this and for an honest mistake this seems really unjust. I understand if if i can't have the ability to scout back because I've already shown i'm not the best at that, but please can you help give me my scouted role back and unban me? because i was really excited by this.

@AddisonJudah Tom is the site owner/admin but the proper route tp appeal would have been to find an audio mod (like me) under the support link at the bottom of the page. I just happened across this. While I didn't levy the ban, I've reviewed it and agree with it. The fact that it took you over a month to notice (ban was levied Feb 6) means it isn't that pressing for you to wait another 1.5 months for it to expire. The user you scouted had a single upload, which even if it wasn't stolen is not enough for someone to get a sense of their talent for scouting. The submission did state in the uploader's comments that it was uploaded for use in Geometry Dash and not legitimate. Being scouted helps someone be seen, and scouting the wrong people allows others to download stolen/copyright material which brings lawyers to an independent media site like NG.
